Progress made with renovation of “The Karel”

The renovation of the façade in front (South) is almost completed. The brickwork has been repaired, almost all the new steel frames have been installed, and the French balconies will be in place by February. Half of the scaffolding has been removed, so that the renovated façade is partially visible. The existing façade openings in the rear wall (North) have been enlarged for the sections that provide access to the outdoor areas. The dismantling of the apartments on the fourth floor was started in October, after which the apartments below will be dealt with per floor going downwards.
The apartments will be given a luxurious and transparent look due to the high ceilings (approximately 2.9 m) in combination with the large glass fronts. In addition, the apartments will be delivered in a practically complete state together with sanitary facilities, a luxury kitchen, parquet flooring, and plastered walls. The interior finish was designed by Piet Boon.
All apartments are scheduled to be delivered at the end of May 2019. Instead of the earlier mentioned starting date in January, the rental application procedure will start in March. As soon as additional information becomes available regarding the application procedure, we will inform you accordingly via a newsletter.

Apartment complex “De Karel”:
• 53 two-room and three-room apartments (midrange rental segment)
• Various layout types varying in size from 42 to 65 m²
• Each apartment has its own individual balcony, terrace or French balcony
• Collective roof garden
• Rental prices are approximately €970 per month, exclusive of service costs, storage unit, and parking space (prices are provisional)
• Rental application process to start in March 2019
• Delivery of apartments in May 2019

Registration for the newsletter provides no guarantee whatsoever that you will be assigned an apartment. However, the persons who register for the newsletter will be informed first as to when the rental application process will start. The estate agent determines which persons will be assigned apartments. When applying for an apartment, it is not possible to indicate a preference for a specific type of apartment.
