The permit for the transformation of the Riekerhof is final!
The Riekerhof in Amsterdam Nieuw-West is being fully transformed from a traditional residential and care complex into a more modern and sustainable location for living and care. The renovated complex will feature 146 affordable rental apartments, including 80 residential care units and 66 independent senior homes.
In addition, we will be adding community and public functions, such as a restaurant/café, a recreation room, physiotherapy, and a daycare center.
The building will be topped with two additional floors and receive a completely renovated façade and a central atrium. This atrium will serve as the entrance but also function as a dynamic meeting place where people can come together.
At Riekerhof, we are fully committed to sustainability. The design includes innovative solutions such as rainwater collection, green roofs, solar panels, and the reuse of materials from the existing building.
The green design creates space for nature, social interaction, and daily traffic. This project not only adds ecological value but also social value to the surrounding area.
