End of April concrete pour basement floor Heineken Hoek

Assembling the tower crane and activities in the coming period On March 16, the 40-metre high tower crane of the Heineken Hoek was assembled. The terrain was surveyed beforehand with a 3D-scan. With a margin of a few centimetres, over and under the tram overhead wires, the tower crane finally arrived on the right place. Together with the municipality of Amsterdam, police, GVB and our traffic controllers, everything went smoothly. We look back on a very successful day.

Work performed
– The tower crane has been assembled
– The installations, which will be placed under the basement floor, have been prepared
– The waste water wells have been poured

Structural work phase
We are now working hard on the shell of the building. The pipeline trenches, lift shafts and basement floor will be poured at the begin of week 17, the week of April 25. As always, will do our utmost to keep disruption to a minimum. For example, large vehicles will load and unload inside the construction fences whenever possible.

The new Heineken Hoek will open its doors for its guests after the summer of 2023. The basement, the ground floor and the 1st floor will house cafés and dining facilities; the upper floors will accommodate a four-star hotel.

The contractor will periodically distribute an information newsletter describing the progress, planning, and other relevant activities. The contractor will distribute the newsletter in the neighbourhood of the Heineken Hoek, and we will also place the newsletter on our project website. You can access the first newsletter below (only in Dutch): 304213 Informatiebrief #2 Heinekenhoek
